i strongly recommend this wood. Extremely stable, it can handle the miami humidity in summer (I played a gig last night from 6-11pm outdoors and it's the perfect consistency to keep performing at one's best!), dual truss rod, with the gotoh micro adjuster for making small incremental adjustments to the relief.

Im planning on buying a really premium bridge. That will be for another thread!

Awesome. Do you have a pic of the entire neck back? I'd love to see the grain.

Warmoth has incredible bodies and necks but they cost an arm and a leg here in Italy due to postal and taxes charges

Ive never had a bocote neck, but Ive had a few longbows and one recurve made out of the stuff. Its gorgeous, and pics never do it justice. Congrats! :)

Thats great quencho. cool neck and cool axe! Is the fingerboard ebony? I just had a warmoth bass neck made out of goncalo so it needs no finish too and have a darker tone than maple, feels really great.
Re: the bridge...i really like those bridges...maybe juts swap the block instead?

i finally got the neck relief/action/polished the edges with 400, 600, 800, 1000, and 1200 grit paper w/ a block then by hand with the finest grit.

Pure butter. I just strung it up with a fresh set of chromes 12's and I am absolutely floored. Best guitar I've ever played, and the exact tone i want, im so so damn happy right now!!!!!!!

I recommend the advice that was given to me for rounding off the edges. It really made a huge difference. And I absolutely love the gotoh fine tuning truss adjuster on the side, it doesnt make as drastic a change as the primary truss socket and allowed me to really dial in a perfect relief where i get no buzz and cooperation with the saddle heights.

maui WOWIE THIS IS AN AWESOME PLAYING NECK! worth every penny, and hopefully between the stainless steel frets and dual truss, and stable bocote, it will last a very very long time.

I've got a Pau Rosa ( Brazllian Tulipwood) and Bocote fingerboard neck from USACG on my African Mahogany Strat, and its aweful nice..not as nice as yours.

That neck will last 4 ever man. Bocote is a hard dense wood, and the dual truss and stainless frets will keep it straightetr than an arrow, even in yourami.
Bocote sound nice and warm too. Next neck try Ziricote fretboard.

thanks metalmaniac for the great deal on the mini humbucker. It absolutely sings, at the south beach gig thurs and friday the listeners kept complimenting my tone.

Anybody with raw wood necks, 1000 grit wipe the backs! I'm absolutely blown away with the feel.

That neck looks awesome. I had a Warmoth body with a bocote top once, but I think it's even cooler used for a neck.

Now that is a Strat that I very much like!!! Bocote is a very beautiful wood! I have a friend that builds custom Longbows and Recurve bows, and he uses Bocote in his bows a lot.

Looks like im gonna be shelling out top dollar for a ridiculous bridge. GAS is kicking in to keep making this guitar more perfect!!!!!
