MFX Unit Users - ¿ What Ya Got ?

Got my first ever taste with a Digitech GNX4 I learned a lot from this unit .
A tad awkward but over all it kicked serious butt :

I had a Roland GR33 guitar synth module hooked to it :

Now I hook into a T.C.Helicon VoiceLive3 Extreme with the Roland GR33 .

The TCH Switch 6 is quite useful in streamlining a live performance of triggering FX -
starting/stopping a loop , preset changes the MP-76 microphone has 4 buttons and
triggers FX, preset changes , loop start/stop like the Switch 6 or Switch 3 .

I got a Singular Sound BeatBuddy because the VL3X has no drum machine like
my GNX4 did . BeatBuddy's are about the easiest drum machine period that I
have found as well as sounding fantastic .

The BOSS FS6 is what I use instead of the one made by Singular Sound , the
Boss is silent while the Singular Sound switch makes a very loud click/clack sound.

This set up is my soloing gig system . It's as lightweight as it gets for being a super
sounding state of the art performing system .

I have a variety of tube , SS guitar amps and P.A.'s to use depending on the venue's needs . :headbang:

I use a Fractal AX8. I also have an extensive guitar synth/looping rig for solo shows.

I have a second generation G-System (red). It can be a pain to set up, but the effects still sound world-class.

I liked a lot . I was listening to the vids @ Sweetwater
, what style of music are you motivated to play on your set up
do you play bass and or guitar ? I've a Squire PBass & guitar(s)

T.C. Helicon has outstanding stuff IMHO - The sounds on the [ G ] are really heavy and fat
from the vids i just saw - thanks for posting .

You've got a cool set up - I use the Roland GR33's percussion as well as the BeatBuddy
I just got a matched set of congas & bongos that I am going to use too . Some songs
work with the BeatBuddy and live looped does on other songs a better job -I can't wait
to get my conga/bongo chops back , it's been a few years since I slapped congas & bongos
seriously , it's gonna hoit some heh heh heh . I would love to do a Babatunde Olatunji
type loop to get a crowd going - congas & bongos have that magic .

Unfortunately I never took up the bass. Maybe one day.

TBH, I like to play things based on what I hear and like. So if I'm riding a car with a friend who's into pop or hip hop, I might noodle something along with the melody or groove if it's stuck in my head.

Left to my own devices, I like to let rip 70s-80s sounding riffs and "classically-infused" pentatonics a la Schenker/Blackmore.

Arthur Lee is a looping arist out of the state of Colorado I have watched for sometime .

He's really outstanding , he spent time in south Africa , it shows in his rhythmic attack .

His first steps as a live looper began with a GNX4 - from there to a BOSS RC50/300 , then a
laptop running Mobias , who knows what he's using these days :33:

I'm working my VLX3 for loops , it's more than sufficient for me at this point , who knows what's
next - that EHX 9500 has gotten my attention lately :

The current EH Loopers don't do what I need, which isn't the 'build a song structure from the ground up' kind of looping. I mean that is cool and all, I just don't think it holds my interest. I do live improvisations, with non-standard song structures, and I have to be able to manipulate the loop in very specific ways.
