Do you have a line level input to your sound card or do you want a USB Mic?

For Mono USB. -I'd go AKG 2020

BTW You can get the AKG2020 USB mic for about 99 bucks if you look around.

I think the AKG would be better than the Blue for instrumental recording.

Ive been impressed with all of the Blue podcasting style USB mics... they are excellent at Vocals and very serviceable on other midrange instruments at that pricepoint.

The Yeti is even better but 3 times the money..

I ordered the Audio Technica mic. The snowball was an improvement but it made me want to try something better since I like doing the quick cam recordings to see how I'm doing. I also can use it for my zoom lessons.

Why don't you just pick up an Presounus Audiobox for $99 and you can use any mic you want

I have a good interface and mic but this is so I can quickly use my laptop cam without faffing. The usb mic is also useful for my online lessons.

Thx Neg. I got the AT mic today and it works really well. Really clear sound on just my laptop cam.
