Microphonic JD...DIY fix?

My JD is so microphonic I could record vocals through it...can I dip it in paraphin wax or something myself?

I've talked through a few humbuckers. Actually, if you listen to Territorial Pissings by Nirvana, at the beginning Krist Novaselic sings through Kurt Cobain's Jaguar. Pretty neat thing really. Don't try to eradicate it, enjoy and take advantage of it!

You should 'pot' your pickup, here's a great writeup on how to do it.

yeah, I scream through my buckers all the time...


Also if they're microphonic in the neck position at all you can do the 'baby seal clubbing' thing... where you slam your whammy bar into the neck pickup with a wah fully depressed... sounds awesome.
