Mid-to-low priced guitars, any opinions/recommendations?

Love my cheapo's & mid-priced guitars (all I've got..except for maybe my YJM strat). Can't go wrong with MIJ Jackson Dinky's, Ibanez Saber's (both MIJ & Indo) ..even the cheaper models sound sweet! Also my Cort X6's which I prefer to any RG I've played. (Mind you, I dislike RG's so that has'nt been too many..)

I've also had luck with MIC guitar's ...my BC Rich Ironbird Pro, AXL Badwater LP copy & Grote semi-hollow. They all play like butter and sound really sweet. Strangley enough all three of them are practically untouched as far as mods go (pickup change on the Grote...but that's about it) & played just great out of the box :bigthumb:

Those Ironbirds weren't South Korea-made like my WMD Warbeast?

No ..the Ironbird Pro series were all MIC..


I have the spalted maple top version ..such a cool axe, plays like a dream :bigthumb:

Oh yeah! That was in the "most metal guitars" thread awhile back,,,,,,,,,,they made one also in black w/silver bevels. Luvm

Yamaha seems to go overlooked too. Add them as well for inexpensive guitars that are well made & gig worthy stuff.
