Middle Single Coil in H/S/S Guitar: RW/RP or Not RW/RP? That is the question...

I know that you have to split the humbucker in the 4th position to make it hum-canceling. What I DON'T know is if the middle single has to be RW/RP. So, does it, or no?

Thanks in advance.

I´m pretty sure that if you´re using a Duncan Humbucker and singles and splitting it as per the Schematics on the site, you´ll need an RW/RP at the neck slot and a standard wound single in the middle for hum canceling in positions 2 + 4 ;)

Awesome. That's what I wanted to know. Thanks a bunch, man. :)

Good news is that either way you´ll need both types, so if you´re using the same pickup, such as 2 SSL-1s for example, just leave the leads at length untill you´ve tested it....

If you´re using different pickups in each slot you may want to wait a little bit ;)
