Middle single coil to compliment WLH set.

Hi everyone--

I've already put a WLH set in my Music Man Silhouette. Balances pretty well with the stock Dimarzio but it's lost the ability to cancel the hum in positions 2 and 4 on the 5-way blade switch. Figure it's a good enough excuse to change the middle pickup as well.

I'm looking for something that will balanced nicely with the current set. Something that has a classic Strat type of sound that sounds great clean but can get nice and dirty too. One of the RW/RP Antiquities or a Vintage Staggered maybe?

What do you guys think?

Are you wanting to resolve the hum issue or do you just want a new pickup to get a new pickup?

Yeah, I'm mostly trying to solve the hum issue, but figure I've already gone to Duncan's on the other pickups so might as well go all the way.

are you sure it's not just a wiring issue?

I mean, I'm far from being in a position to tell someone to not get a new pickup (lol!).....

The hum is only cancelled when it's wired out of phase. I guess I could use the outside coils instead of the inside ones?

But yeah, thinking of going with a RW/RP Texas Hot Antiquity.
