MIK Fender Jazz Bass 24 Preamp

So I've got an '05 with the typical "battery got put in backwards and blew the preamp" problem. I'm considering having a local tech put in a new OP AMP on the board, as we both agree that it is probably what went wrong. I'll see if I can change out the battery box and make it idiot proof this time, so that I don't replicate the mistake of the previous owner. I bought this thing bad because the bass itself is in VERY good condition and I knew I could get some USA made tuners for free from my friends at Hipshot since the old ones were crap.

Anyway, I'm looking to get a replacement/backup preamp for this thing as well. Since it's a simple plug-and-play, I'm hoping to be able to get JUST THE PREAMP WITHOUT THE WIRING OR NEW POTS from SD. Unfortunately, they won't reply to my emails. So, does anybody know if I can get the preamp by itself without the wiring?

I would imagine that only OEM businesses are supplied with PCBs and other components as spare/replacement parts.

I once acquired an STC-3M3 PCB from a retailer/repairer. I suspect that the business' repair department had cannibalised a complete SD/Basslines EQ kit to obtain the pots for an emergency fix.

I suppose I should probably figure out which one (active or passive) I should go with and just order one. Maybe I can use the controls for another project.
