Due to the fact that I want to buy a decent metal detector to go hunting with my son, I've decided to sell one of my guitars. I'm selling a MIM Strat that's been heavily moddified. Everytime I did a mod, I posted on this forum, so if you search my user name, you can see all the posts with pics and details.
Specs:
Original MIM Strat body and neck
Aftermarket $79 Floyd Rose licensed trem. Replaced the locking screws with Stewmac models after the originals were stripping out. The rest of the trem is rock solid.
Ibanez AH2/AH1 pickup set(used on lower end Satch Models)
Right now the trem is set up to dive only, but can be used floating by removing a small wood shim that I glued in. If you want it to float, I'll remove it and setup the trem.
I added some wood to the end of the neck to make it a 22 fret neck. It's solid and intonates well.
Electronics:
5 way switch---1 bridge humbucker
2 bridge single coil
3 bridge and neck single coil
4 neck single coil
5 neck humbucker
Microswitch to enable/disable cap across volume pot
Flaws:
Small ding on top of body behind trem
Some fingerboard wear on the neck, but frets are perfect
Screw holes on the rear of the headstock where locking tuners were installed.
It's a decent guitar that I gigged with. Stays in tune well even with aggresive dive bombing. The pickups get the job done and don't sound bad at all. I don't have a case or gigbag for it. I'm looking to start at $275 and see if there's any interest before putting it up on the Ebay.
