Mini cabs

So i got a panama fuego X yesterday. Its a 15 watt mini head. I want to get a small cab to go with it. I play a little bit of everything, but i mainly play detuned metal. What would you guys recxomend? A 1x10 or a 1x12? Ive personally always used a 4x12 cab with my bugera 333xl but hauling all that gear is getting old haha. I found a hughes and kettner 1x12 with a vintage 30 for $300 and i also found a matching panama 1x10 for $150 but ut says it has a britsh ceramic speaker? Is there a bennefit to a 10 over a twelve. I prefer a tighter punch in the bass end. Thanks for any help.

Re: Mini cabs

A 10 will be tighter than a 12, but it won't go as deep.

If you're trying for a similar sound to your 4x12, you'll want a ported, closed-back 1x12. These days I mostly play a Marshall Mini Jubilee through an Egnater Rebel 112X loaded with an Eminence Wizard. I paid $100 for the empty cab and another $60 for the speaker, but don't let the price fool you. That little thing sounds every bit as good as my '78 Marshall 4x12 loaded with Blackback G12H30s.
