Mini-Pots

My question: are mini pots as good as their full size counterparts?

I'm rewiring my strat, and installing a single humbucker connected to a single volume pot. I tried a full sized pot and it wouldn't fit through the hole on my pickguard. I didn't want to make the hole any bigger, so i tried a mini-pot from allparts. It now fits through the hole perfectly, but it's just so TINY! The body of the pot just seems ridiculously small. Does this mean it won't last as long or that it's not as good a quality? Will it still make a good ground?

Thanks!

Re: Mini-Pots

The only benefits to component size is power handling and ergonomics.
Your guitar is a low power device so size is not a factor. As long as the pot accepts a knob big enough for you to control, then a mini-pot is fine.
