Minor adjustments

I made a little list here.
-250K pots for the new strat. Tone knobs are totally DEAD!
-Pickup cover for my LP. I got a set of 59s and the neck pickup is too 'fat'.
Went to Guitar Center yesterday and they only had chrome covers. Thinking about going to Ebay for the cover(s).
-New nuts on both guitars. Now I don't know if this is necessary, maybe a little graphite or Nut Sauce (Oh grow up!) will do. The strat is my first guitar with a tremolo bar and from what people on the forums have told me, tuning problems are common.

I plan on going to Guitar Center (again) today. So please reply as soon as possible!

Have you metered them to make certain?

All SD covers will work on SD pups.
Just make sure you get SD covers.

Not necessary unless the grooves are cut too low.
Save on buying the nut sauce and either make your own from some powdered graphite(available at any hardware store) and a bit of vasoline.
Or just use chapstick.
You'd be better served by having the nut dressed or learning to do it yourself.
A sheet of 3-500 grit sandpaper and a sheet of 1000-1500 grit sandpaper is all you need.

Good lord man, don't go!!!!
Unless you need everything today, that is.

Seriously, don't bother with the GC tech unless you know he's good.
Find a local luthier instead.
