I should add that I'm also interested in selling it. I will post pictures here if you ask.

It has the original MC-1 foot-controller with a LONG MIDI cable and a short one for saving your patches on you computer.

Im gonna ask some dumb questions, only cuz I want to be sure this is what I think it is.. Ive never owned any rack gear except my Rockman chorus. This is a preamp correct? Can it be used with a regular amp head? Or do you need a designated power amp? I believe this is the unit that most everyone used in the late 80s for effects and such, correct??

The ADA MP-1 is a guitar preamp that can hold up to 128 MIDI patches. The only effect it has build in is a chorus. If your amp has a preamp in then yes you can run this preamp into it. It has a parametric EQ. The ADA MP-1 is what almost everyone from Paul Gilbert to Metallica used in the 80's. Metallica used the MP-1 on The entire Ride the Lightning album.

What kind of amp do you have? I could tell you. :]

JCM800, PV Ultra plus, Splawn quickrod. Id prefer to use the PV as the slave until getting a proper rack pwr amp..
Im VERY interested. Have to see how my paycheck is fri. Was prepared to do this, but my 15 yr old got her class sched today and she got guitar class, so I have to get her an accoustic..

All you would have to do would be to send the preamp through the effects return. That's what I did with my 6505+.

Actually the MP-1 was used for some solos on AJFA (title track, stock preset), some cleans, and somewhere on the black album. Before that was all mesa and marshall.

Good luck with the sale.
