Ok, I have a compact flash multitrack, I can either read the compact flash card on my computer & take .wav files from it. Or play direct out the multitrack, with volume faders etc in digital out or 2 stereo out ports.
My question is, what's the best way to mixdown into a track? is there software available I can just take all my .wav files, put them together, volume equalize them & record into say mp3 or somesuch.
or would I be better getting some sort of hardware and plugging stereo out ports into it & recording. using the faders on the multitrack?
or is there a better method?
Seriously, all suggestions welcome. Especially from those with experience of what works and what doesnt.
