Need a decent Mixer for a small, portable PA my song writing partner and I are putting together.

We'll play with a drummer, piano and bass sometimes but we'll play as a duo more often so we need something high quality but not big and not to elaborate.

I might use my Verbzilla for reverb.

I have a couple of real nice Yamaha stereo amps...one for main and one for monitors.

We have some main speakers. We need some monitor speakers and a mixer.

Sherrie sings, so do I and then I have three Takamine acoustics, one National resonator and one Mandola to plug in. So 8 channels minimum.

I've really been out of the loop when it comes to PA gear! I've used some Mackies that were good in the past...

Recommendations?

Check out Mackie, we have used their stuff for years with good results.

A used 1604 VLZ sounds like a good choice or the newer 16 channel model.

I was thinking Mackie too...just because I have a good experieince with that product in the past. Looks like an Ebay search is the best bet.
