mixing APS2 and SSL2 - alnico 2 and 5

hello folks

I am planning to put an SSL1 in the neck of my strat, and an APS2 in the middle. The bridge would have an SSL5.

Does anyone have such set up? And if so are you happy with it?

I have read in oterh forums that alnico 2 and alnico 5 may not match so well. Just wondering what you guys thought about mixing SSL with APS pickups

I've had APS in all three slots, so I'll only comment on the middle.

Going with the A2 mags instead of the A5 (with SSL1s) you're going to get more midrange and a more "distortion friendly" kind of tone. It's not going to have near the chime the A5 equivalent has.
