Hello all,

I not too long ago installed some Majicbuckers in my Tokai Love Rock and my God! These are the best sounding humbuckers I've ever heard. Clean to overdriven tones are absolute bliss.

I was wondering about those! They sound fantastic! Can you compare to what was in there before? Or other Duncans you have tried?

I had some Pearly Gates in there before. The PGs were noticeably brighter. Was using the treble knob more often. I know the PGs are AlNiCo II and the magicbuckers and AlNiCo III. I would say the magicbuckers have more clarity. They sound beautiful, clean (crisp and full, but not too trebly), and they take overdrive really well without becoming muddy. I never really got along with humbuckers, having mainly played Strats. These made me see the magic of vintage spec P.A.F.s

The description says they're based on 59's. I wonder how close you could get by dropping A3's into a 59 set?

My guess is that these are not potted, and based on an actual set of pickups from 1959.
