Hello there all
I have 2 guitars which I modded to house three 9v-like batteries (rechargeable, actually) to deliver some 25v to both pickups -in one case-, and only to the bridge one, in the other. The improvement of the sound for high gain tones was brutal, which leads me to the question - Can I do the same with the active pickups on my bass guitar? Will it have a similar effect in headroom or otherwise making the pups sound more aggressive?
