dunno if anyone will like/ appreciate this on the forum but heres me as a composer.

i like to try and keep things simple and catchy but i do have a few dark piano compositions with diminished arpeggios all over the shop and some dance ish stuff with strings and some dark ish strings only stuff

meh tell me what you think please :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Re: Modern classical jazz piece.

It's nice but turn the strings down a bit. They dominate and totally fill the sound. Drop them down a few notches, open it up a bit (like with piano chords) and get some guitar in there. Musically it's very good though. (but not jazz)

Re: Modern classical jazz piece.

:P

true lol but i cba changing the title

i submitted it for GCSE and got A* but im not entirely sure it was that difficult to get A* in composition coz some extremely sucky pieces got A's and A*s

its hard to mix because i wrote the score in sibelius, which plays out of my keyboard speakers, but i record from the headphone out to the PC, meaning when its recorded it comes out my speakers but only in one track so i cant re ajust the volumes :(

Re: Modern classical jazz piece.

Oh you young guys with talent :) . Keep it up, well done.

Re: Modern classical jazz piece.

:D i've worked out a guitar version of the main piano riff (in an altered tuning) and the main violin riff on guitar, so i'll do a guitar version tonight maybe.
