Modern metal?
I can't imagine 20 watts having the kind of low end tightness required for modern metal.
Classic metal, sure but there's here's a reason why pretty much every modern heavy rock/metal band is playing 100+ watt amps these days...........

You'd be suprised!
And it's really not 20 watts. It shows 20 watts at about 3-4 on the volume. Mine peaked at 38 watts with the volume on 8.
Try one and then tell me that!
