Monoprice 5 watt tube amp

Cool. Someone said they’re renamed Laney amps?

Re: Monoprice 5 watt tube amp

That's great running two in stereo. I have one of the 15 watt'rs that arrived a month ago. So far, I love it. For $150, it's a no brainer. I'm going to nab another (when I have some extra $ and they are on sale) for stereo operation. Right now, I'm running in stereo with an 80's Peavey Studio Pro. The two amps sound wonderful together, so I should just leave well enough alone, but since I never have, why start now!

I've heard great things about the 5 watt amp and man for that price, how can you go wrong? Again, I'm smitten with the 15 watter. It sounds wonderful, has a good deal of clean headroom, has a 1 (or 1/2 watt) watt setting and the reverb is darn good. It takes pedals very well also. I've had some tube amps that cost 7-8 times as much hat did not deliver 7-8 times the tone.

I am interested in that 15 watter. 12–15W 1x combos ('68 vintage Princeton Reverb and Ampeg J-12T) have been my main amps for over 20 years now. Hard to resist experimenting at such a low price.
