MONSTER Inexpensive Reverb ALABS CETUS! KILLER verb for UNDER $120 new!!

I would feel a bit torn about this if I was looking for another reverb. Reviews of this are mixed - some people like it, others have complaints about the sound and build quality. Customer service is apparently good, at least. But while $120 isn't a ton to spend on a good pedal, it's not exactly cheap. And there's a decent selection of solid, flexible verbs from reputable brands at this price or lower if you're willing to buy used - Boss RV6, MXR M300, Walrus Fathom, EHX Oceans 11 for instance. That's stiff competition for my bucks. I feel like I remember Alabs being cheaper, like around $80, but maybe that was a special sale.

I dunno. For $120 I would feel uncomfortable taking the plunge on this over a known quantity, and for a tighter budget there's the Joyo Atmosphere or a couple different Flamma pedals.

Have an Oceans 11 that is about to go up on Reverb. The Cetus absolutely kills the oceans 11 in tones in every mode. Build quality and reliability are issues, and we shall see, but sound quality and tone is fantastic! It's just a little noisy, but is very usable. We shall see long term but so far like it a LOT! I'm very picky about reverbs, and this one tone wise I really like. The Shimmer and cloudy in particular are very nice and rival my Strymon Blue Sky.
