Moog phaser or? Boss DD-6 or?

The Moog floored me but I don't see it anywhere in the FX threads. You guys don't like it? I thought it was gorgeous sounding. Plus it takes 4 expression pedals (!!!!).

I am replacing my Rocktron. I just use it for a bit of phase-shift and a bit of delay, so the Rocktron is overkill and has too many parameters to adjust. Combined with the Midimate it can become a full time job, all the tweakin'.

Figured a good analog phaser for the front-end, and a good delay in the loop, don't care if it's analog or digital, but I'd like it to be stereo so I can split the signal and drive another amp with my main amp's effected preamp. See my sig.

DD-6? Would that be (yet another) mistake?

oh and the Moog has level and drive knobs, so little or no chance of volume drop, girth drop.

granted I'm pretty sure about the Moog (~$375, plus at least one or two expression pedals for it. Over $400 for a pedal dudes!!!). But before I drop that load o dough, I wanna hear about all the stuff ya got!!!

If you recommend something else (vintage), is it quiet?

I miss everyone. Yeah I read the "yer favorite FX" and "if you could only have one or three FX" threads.

oh yeah. not only does the Moog have level and drive knobs and take 4 expression pedals, but it flanges at least as good (but smoother) as my old gray MXR with the power cord stickin out of it. I guess I'm just lookin for a "dude, go for it!" from at least one person.

But what about the Boss DD-6 delay? I have a feeling i could do better. What and why, please and thanks.

I've always wanted the Moog phaser, but I', a phaser whore. THe only issue is the bypass sucks. The input and output are still active when it's bypassed, and it colors the tone. If you could put it in a TB looper, you'd be golden though. You know, Moog also makes a killer Analog Delay in the Moogerfooger line, long delay times too...

i played the phaser once and was blown away. ultimately though i wound up going with the MURF as it was such a unique pedal. but you can't go wrong with moog!

the boss DD-20 is worth the price increase over the DD6. Its really that good.
