More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

Yeah man! Nice one. It had some country licks/spots here and there.

Awesome pup/tone and playing!

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

That sounded great! I'm having a hard time deciding which p/up to put in my Wolfie and you're not helping matters! That's one more I can add to the list.

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

;)
Thanks, hehe I have tried alot of pickups in this baby, sofar the Hybrid Demon/JB and the Demon on its own with both A5 and A2 magnets have been my faves.

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

How much do you crank the amp for the recordings?

I get a good tone out when only half cranked..and more.

Thats an interesting question.
If you have an all-tuber you probably have to go very loud?

I have a hybrid amp, and I was thinking it has a crappy sound, untill I saw a pro playing the same amp in the musci store, and he made it sound beautiful.
In fact he was using a 100$ guitar directly into amplifier. I was stunned. The only thing he did different than me is to crank it up.:yell:

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

Well here at home it is a direct record preamp..all solid state too:D
Modded it more for my likings, but well it is clean and not very loud.
At work I just play at moderate levels to get a good sound, it all depends on speakers.

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

After owning it for 6-7 years I finally started to fall in love with my Wolfgang. It just took some time to dial in the rest of the rig to work with it. A bolt on basswood guitar is a different beast than mahogany set neck guitars.

Mine is factory stock

Yeah, if tube -> CRANK, CRANK, CRANK IT! :D

Re: More Wolfgang APH-1 Demon stuff.

I like my tubeamps to be clean...as I love clarity, fat and clean...nothing sounds as good as a big clean tubeamp.
Well a small hotrunning Class A/B amp, but then the speaker gets crucial or it will end up sounding pushed in a nasty awful way.
