The Bogner Fish.
I just got done recording a band and have been mixing down the tracks (all originals - kind of Foo Fighterish in a lot of spots).
Anyway, the guitar player isn't the most technically proficient, but a decent player and very good writer (should be, he is also the lead singer and wrote all the tunes).
The rhythym tracks are all through my Road King II (orange, vintage), and simply brought the gain up or down to compliment the tune or wherever the playing came out the cleanest.
We did the leads through my Fish, when solo'ed you can hear the flubs plain as day....in the mix, even the flubs sound good!
