Most natural sounding acoustic pickup?

Let’s say you didn’t want to spend more than $150 for an acoustic pickup. Single coil, stack, mic, doesn’t matter. You’ve got $150 and want the most natural sounding pickup possible. It also needs to have as little physical impact on the guitar as possible. No permanent modifications permitted.

Yes, I am in the market, and as much as I would love the SA-6 Mag Mic, I simply can’t drop that kind of money. I want the most transparent pickup I can find: something that will add as little coloration to the acoustic tone as possible (I want to hear guitar, not pickup). As I said before, think natural. The last thing I want is a sound hole pickup that will make the acoustic sound more like an acoustic.

Obviously, it doesn’t have to be a Duncan product. Other brands I’ve seen a lot of have been Fishman, Dean Markley, and LR Baggs. I need all the help I can get. Thanks in advance.

LR Baggs has a new mag pickup out. It sounds fantastic (at least with Greg Bennet playing it). It might stretch your budget a bit, but I think its worth it.

See if you can find a used MagMic. You won't be disappointed with it.

I got one a couple of years ago and just recently looked at how much they are. I couldn't believe I spent that much. I don't regret it, though.

Is that the M-1 Active? I haven't seen anyone selling it yet, but I have seen the M-1, which is within my budget.
