Most Ridiculous, Over-the-Top Thrash Metal HSS Strat

Empty Pockets

I never play my old HSS Strat anymore because I have other similar guitars that I prefer. One thing I don't have is a guitar with flamethrower pickups that is mostly suited for Slayer riffs. I figure I'll kill two birds and get stoned by swapping the pickups.

My heart is saying a custom shop SLUG and two Hot Rails, (maybe a Duckbucker in the middle for clean bits) but I figured you guys might have some ideas too. Remember that the goal here is a ridiculously hot metal guitar; I have the vintage rock tones covered in spades. Let me know what you think!

I think you've got it made, Sir.

Other than using maybe an Invader or something if a Slug can't be obtained... if you really wanna go full retard, what about a Sustainer pickup of sorts?
I mean, why not? :D

How about an HSS Parallel Axis set?

Hopefully the body wood is not ash? I was never able to get a decent metal sound out of my swamp ash HSS strat a few years back even after numerous pickup swaps, finally concluded swamp ash wood wasnt conducive for metal tones (too bright).
