What would be the most versitle fat/articulate pickup for Rock,Punk, Blues. that would clean up nicely when the volume is rolled back, and using a Marshall Dsl 100 with 4x12 vintage 30's?
In a Mahongy body/neck/ Ebony/Rosewood fingerboard.
I'll put my vote in the the Seymour Duncan JB humbucker, I know others will choose different pick-ups.
But the JB is my favorite humbucker to use for anything, jazz, blues, rock, metal... So check it out.

I have a Custom and i got it specifacally because it can do alot of different things well. Ive never used a JB but from ive read it would be a good choice too.

I've used the JB in a bunch of different guitars. It is very versatile, and I love it.
I'm about to install a new set of '59's in my Les Paul in hopes of nailing the traditional Blues Rock tone. I've done the high gain thing to death in my 25 years of playing, and I've found myself searching for a cleaner tone with more 'wood' coming through.
Has anyone ever tried a genesis mr. brownie pickup? There is minimal info out there. I would love to here some sound clips if they exsist. Please post them if they do.
