Mounting Tabs on Jazz neck

What's the standard size mounting tabs on a Jazz neck? The ones I have are very long, too long to allow me to mount it in my Strat (pool route). This is the only Duncan I have with tabs this long. All my other ones are short. Is the Jazz supposed to come with long tabs?

Re: Mounting Tabs on Jazz neck

i am not sure about the long tabs. 2 of my jazz neck came with short tabs. iirc, long tabs are standard on vintage style pickups like the 59, seth etc. jazz happen to fall under the progressive category according to sd.

Are you sure it's a Jazz? Like mentioned above only the vintage pickups have the long legs. If it's really a Jazz it was special ordered with the long legs or the base plate was changed out by somebody.

Yes, I am 100% sure. It was ordered from Seymour Duncan by me when I worked at a music store. It even has the "JNJ" sticker on the bottom. I don't remember asking for it with long legs, but it was some time ago.

Ok, I have the pickup in front of me and there is no indication on the box whatsoever of the tabs being long. It just has the 4-conductor option circled, which it is. It's possible I ordered it that way but I don't remember asking for long tabs.

It's no big deal. I'm going to put it in the neck of my LP now since my homemade is out of commission for a while  (needs new tuners and I can't get them right now). The vintage pearl doesn't look that good against the wine red of my Strat anyway.
