Mounting triple shots above pickguard?

Hi guys,

I’m setting up an Ibanez for my son and was wondering if I should mount the triple shot rings to the pickguard, or go another route (such as push/pull pots) for coil splitting?

Anyone have pics of how it looks after mounting triple shot rings to the pickguard?

IMO, it will look better than it does right now with those pup holes chopped out of the pickguard.

Agree! And there was at least one Ibanez strat-like guitar that came factory with mounting rings on top of a plastic pickguard. My friend had one.

You can't tell because the photo is so small, but two of the three guitars in my avatar have pickup rings on top of pickguards.
