The DS-1 is hands down my favorite overdrive pedal. I like the stock MIJ version best but the Keeley Seeing Eye mod is cool as is the John Spina modded DS-1. I like the MIJ stock version best though because it cleans up so nicely when I turn down the volume control of my guitar. Lew

I Liked Keeley's Ultra DS1 alot,but I didn't care at all for his SEM....Keeley is one of the nicest guys to talk to on the phone...Busy guy,but a nice guy..

Cool man! If you want to turn it into the official "SD forum pedal" you can just send it back around the country to those of us that have had it and we can all sign it
. Glad you warmed up to it though, I knew it was bound to mesh well with someone, it sounded too good not to.

Well...it's not like I kept the DS-1 with the Keeley SEM. But it sounded "very good". Of course there's a diff between "good" and "AWESOME/TOTALLY SATISFYING"! :laugh2:

Other way around for me, I kinda dig the SEM more than the ultra mod, it seems smoother.
btw, If it didn't buy the pedal already modded I think I would have sent it to you. I'm going to get a TS-9 pretty soon and I might just do that.
