Anyone try the Diezel Mod on an MT-2? I see one listed on my local Craiglist for fairly cheap but I don't really want to test it out at a strangers house.
Also after some research, apparently the full mod is a lot more in depth than the 7 component swaps that some sources give. My Wampler book corroborates that there are indeed quite a few more changes you can make to the pedal.

Fifteen years ago I had Robert Keeley do his "Twilight" mod on my MT-2. Still use it to this day. And still get crap from some for doing so. Oh well, haters, well, you know.
Yeah, from my analysis on the circuit it looks pretty well thought out, just need to readjust some values to make the EQ section less "theoretically versatile" and more "practically versatile". Of the stock ones I've used most the trouble is you have to find a good tone buried amongst all the possible bad tones.

That's what I found waaaaaay back when I had one on my board. There are a few decent sounds in the pedal, but they're surrounded by some truly awful ones . . . and moving the dials the slightest little touch off that sweet spot will take you from 'pretty good' to 'blech'.
