Does anybody here use multi amps set-ups...either running 2 amps at the same time all the time, or running 2 or more amps with an A/B set up, or anything else like it???

I do. I'll often play through a pair of blackface Fender Deluxe Reverbs or 5E3 Deluxes or one 5E3 Deluxe and my '51 Super. If I'm using the two Deluxe Reverbs I use my Kendrick A/B/C box to splt the guitar signal. If I'm using a pair of my old tweed amps I might use the A/B/C box or I might split the signal with a Boss Stereo Reverb, Stereo Digtital Delay or Dano Cool Cat Stereo Chorus.
I love playing through a pair of 20 watt amps in "stereo"...especially for quieter gigs like playing in church where you want a big wide sound but have to keep the overall volume down.

Yes i use a multi amp set up... I use a 5150 head and a Peavey Classic 50 A/B style done with an Axess Head Switcher...... www.axess-electronics.com With the head switcher you can run 2 heads into one cab..... I either use a Marshall 1x12 cab or the 5150 4x12 depending on the gig. I have not been in a band in a while so the sytem is apart right now... Sometimes i swap the Classic 50 head out for a JCM 800 head depending on the tunes i know we may play.... I mostly use the Classic 50 as a clean channel... but when the whole rig is set up a have 5 channels..... Acoustic Piezos from my Godin.... Classic 50 Clean, Classic 50 crunch, 5150 rythym, 5150 solo.... On my pedalboard i have a Boss chorus and a wah wah... Other then that the pedal board is just for the amp's switches...

At the moment I am using a Soldano SLO 100 head+ 4x12 cab for drive and a Bad Black Cat for clean. Using a A/B box as switcher. Works great IMO.
Have just ordered a Mesa Lonestar Special so I need a new switching device for a three amp set-up.

I like running my rectoverb and peavey classic 50 at the same time. I'm using a boss dd-5 right now,but Im gonna build me an a/b box in the near future. Scoopin the mids some on the recto and boostin em on the peavey sounds pretty killer. Also runnin both reverbs on the clean channels at the same time gives a really big beautiful sound.

i sometimes run the slave out from my single recto into the high gain side of my 5150. i run the 5150 on the clean channel (duh) and it sounds pretty good that way. i get two really different sounds mainly because of the cabinets, though. one is a marshall 1960a and the other is a randall jaguar with fuzzy covering like that stuff on car stereo subwoofer boxes. basically the marshall has lots of mids and highs and the randall has lots of lows. they also have different impedences, but i don't think that matters much since the cabs are run through different heads...
one day i might even run the heads and my pa from my gnx4...maybe tomorrow...who knows.

I have in the past and still do at times. I run a high gain side and a clean side, or an el-34 and an 6l6 side. I have done it with an A/B/C box, and ernie ball stereo/pan, and am in the process of getting a voodoo labs amp switcher. It will switch up to 4 amps, and blend the amps with preset settings. I also use a VHT valvulator (tube driven line driver/buffer) to try to maintain signal strength integrity. The only one that works in a questionable fashion is the ernie ball stereo /pan. It divides the signal strength. so there is a little drop out that is noticable when at 50/50, or middle sweep.

I run a Vox AC-30 and a Marshall JCM900 halfstack in an A-B fashion. I wanted a good clean tone and really good dirty tone and niether amp could give me both, but each could give me 1 PERFECT tone... so I caved and got both. So, here I am 2800 dollars later, happier than I would have ever thought a few amps could make me.
