Been working on this multiscale build, its 24.75 to 25.5 scale...its been a challenge being everything has to change, but it's almost done and can't wait to see if everything works right...lol

Re: Multiscale build!!!

I love wenge. It's hard to finish with a high gloss due to its tiny but deep pores, but it is super hard and feels smooth as glass...perfect for a fretboard.

Good to hear. I've been tempted to have a neck made out of wedge/ebony. The OPs guitar doesn't help either ha.

Great job.

How did you design and cut the fret slots?

This is what I came up with, is a sled for my table saw with 2 pins, then a board with the 2 different scale and holes drilled to fit the pins at all the fret angles

Re: Multiscale build!!!

Very nice!

But now, here's the critical question...How does it play?

It took a couple mins getting use to the multiscale, but it plays real nice...the longer scale on the low side is nice with the chords and the shorter scale on the high side has that nice silky Gibson feel to the lead playing...it really has the best of both worlds...
