Hello,

I want mor lowends for my Music Man Stingray (2004). So i got the idea, to place a second Neck-PU (Preci or MM-Style) - or is there another way to mod the electronic (has someone a schematic?) to get mor deep Bass.

Try searching for a schematic for a Sabre bass, it was the 2 pickup version of the original StingRay!

I would advise against modding your MM. The Stingray has active preamp in the guitar, it seems to me you should be able to get more lowend than any passive P-Bass. Maybe you should look consider a different amp. What are you using?

Yeah, if you aren't getting enough low end out of a Stingray, something is either malfunctioning or you need to change your amp. A Stingray should be able to pump out more bass than anyone needs. If it's a balance issue, you might try turning down your highs and high mids and turning up your volume. That would give the appearance of more low end.

hello,

well i'm using an SWR 350, with two 15" EV Cabinetts, and bevore i bought the MM I played an Ibanez Musican's Bass, on the neck is the logo "STUDIO", with two humbuckers, active. I think built in the 80's or so. A great Bass!!! But two heavy ( the weight) for long concert's......I used always to play the neck PU. So I know, that my amp can do the low ends very well - much vibrations - you know. But I don't search reaggy sounds, I overdrive the tube-stage (with the Ibanez was this no problem...), and it result's in a good crunchy sound but with a lot's of low ends...But the Musicman can't do this. So I'm no fan of much cables, I just want to plug in, so I don't want to use another Preamp...
