Mustaine bridge & Livewire II Classic Strat pickups compatible? Which pots to use?
This is for a H-S-S guitar. I got a Mustaine bridge + 2 LWII strats for the middle & neck positions. But I noticed the Mustaine has lead wire coming straight from the pickup and 100k pots, while the LWII's have EMG-style quick connect and 25k pots. Are these pickups compatible? If so, which pots do I use? (It's 1 vol, 1 tone, 5-way switch.) If it's 100k pots, what effect does that have on the LWII strat sound? If it's 25k pots, what effect does that have on the Mustaine's sound?
(I'm not trying anything yet, because if they're not compatible, I'd rather send them back for a refund.)
