Mustaine Livewires vs. Emg 81s

For those of you who have played both of these? what are your thoughts on them? I was thinking of getting one of these two sets, but as a loyal duncan user, was planning on giving the lw's a shot if you guys think they are worth it over the EMGs. So how are they in comparison? thanks!

i have both of them. i like the mustaines better just because of the seymour tone. the emg has a very hot rod sound but the tone IMO isnt as good as the mustaines. they are my favorite pickup right now.

well then this is definitely for you. i had a jb in my jackson and i really liked it then i heard of the mustaines and wanted to try them. like i said IMO i think the mustaines are the best active pickup out there now.

I've played both and Definetely like the tone of the Mustaines better. but... EMG's are easiler to install, and that's always nice.
