Mutts and my EVH "Rude" guitar

LET'S HEAR IT FOR MUTTS!!!
Anybody have a mutt that has that certain "something"? You can't quite explain it, but it just has that something that makes it a really cool guitar.
My "Rude" mutt guitar is that way. I think of it as the "extra hot jeans & t-shirt little sister" to the "totally hot, high maintenance chick that all the dudes drool over".
The body started out as a fun project, but when I got tired of the single coils in the strat, I took the strat apart, put that stuff on the Rude body, threw a humbucker in there, and proceeded to rock out.

Really, it is a way bright guitar, but when the eq on the amp is right, it sounds great. Sounds killer tuned to D, as well. It kind of has a sound like a tele with a bridge humbucker, would be pretty close, but it feels like a strat instead of a tele.

It still needs a couple of things done to it to make it even better, and technically, the Striker is a "better" guitar, there is something about that mutt, that I grab it at least 80% of the time I play. Just too fun.

Now, if I could get something that plays like this, and sounds like a Les Paul!

I got a zillion Mutts. Can't say as any of them play as well as urs though.

I've got plenty of ideas I want to try out, and the journey is part of the fun, and I will get some cool guitars out of it. I figure I'll start by building one with a mahogany body and neck with a rosewood board, and see how close that is, then go from there.:cool2:

I wanted to paint one of those up, but I didn't have a good way to cut the circles, so I went with the rude paint job. Funny thing is, since I don't play a lot of VH, I really don't think of Eddie when I look at that guitar.

And, I will probably add a single coil in the neck position, and a tone control. Might put a floyd on it when I put it back together down the road. (I'm getting ready to put the finish on my strat body, and put it back together, so no more rude for a while when that happens). I'll probably make a rosewood board neck for the Rude when I get ready for it again.
