I preferred the III over the plus, as I found it had a more useable range and variance for what I was after. That being said I didn't keep the III either.

I don't know why he demos these two pedals over a dirty amp, they'd sound much better over clean amp. But the III smokes the + in my opinion here. The plus sounds much fuzzier, probably good for some things.

are you planning on picking up a new dirt box? How will you be using it? as in what kind of guitar (pickups) are you using? What amp (clean or dirty)? All that makes big difference.

im using a peavey rage 258, DiMarzio Super Dist. in the bridge, PAF in the neck, I already have a Bad Monkey pedal which is my extra boost over a dirty amp. But I am not totally happy with the dirty amp.(The clean sound on this amp is unbelieveable which is a huge reason why I like it so much) I like the Bad Monkey by itself but I want a overdrive that can sound good alone and then add a little bad monkey over it in certain situations

im thinking about the distortion + just because I heard it was a better stand alone overdrive and the distortion III is more of a tube screamer clone... already what I like in my bad monkey

Again I ask you? Are there no local music stores that would allow you to plug in and listen to the pedal(s).....It's alot better than the way you're going about getting your info...Just a suggestion...It's best when "your" ears like whay they hear! :13:
