MXR M300 Reverb

Well I pulled the trigger on an MXR M300 reverb pedal. I only had a few minutes to play with it just a bit ago but man was it producing some really cool sounds.

I think it will be a very fun tool for the guitar and look forward to getting some more time with it.

Does anyone else have this pedal?

I have one and I use the Epic, Mod, and Pad modes for 'special' moments. :D Great stuff!

I assume you change the three dials depending on what setting you use?

I am still in the very beginning of testing it out stage.

How’s the spring on this thing? The drips? The splashes?

Re: MXR M300 Reverb

Have not had a chance to do a lot of testing with so I apologize I cannot answer your question.

Re: MXR M300 Reverb

I bought a Hall of Fame over one of these a few years ago, without trying either beforehand. Bad idea, I know. I am not in love with the HOF really, so I wonder how this or maybe an RV-6 would compare. Hope you enjoy yours!

I compared the RV-6 and the HOF side-by-side, and I thought the Hall of Fame scored much higher for a certain musical quality. It’s like it was singing in key instead of speaking in monotone.

I will say that the RV-6 made a nice go at a realistic spring reverb, instead of the dampened, idealized version that the HOF does. (This didn’t matter to me because I already had a Catalinbread Topanga.)
