My '56 LP RI Goldtop Has Arrived!

I ordered this up less than a week ago. Gibson claimed it would take 3 months minimum to get. My buddy from my local dealer called yesterday and said it was here! Go figure!

I LOVE this guitar! The P90's are some of the best pickups I've yet to hear. This one is staying stock because its perfect as is!

Beautiful guitar! It's funny that we're almost programmed to want to change the pickups, just by being on a pickup forum! LOL Hey, Gibson invented'em!

I'm always interested in seeing Goldtops because Gibson seems to make them in a few varying shades of gold. Some are more sandy gold and some are bright bullion gold, like yours. Mine is also the rich bright bullion gold, and it's also been my favorite guitar for several years. Mine has the UGD overwound 15.3 Custom 5 and 59N nickelcovered. I'd love to have your P-90 version too!

Beautiful....I can't believe it came in so soon. Usually if Gibson says 3 months, it means 6 or more. I love the way it looks, and I am really jonesing for a P-90 guitar. Congrats!

Thanks guys! I can't believe how good this one sounds! And believe it or not, I think the neck is fatter on this than my '58 RI.

Congrats! Welcome to the Gibson P90 family :D There really is no need to change out Gibson's P90s pickups; to my ears, they're perfect :fing2:

Damm... there it is!!! I always said if I were going to get another Les Paul than it was going to be a gold top with p90s.

Only problem is... your's looks broken.... it's strung RIGHT-HANDED!!!!!

Killer guitar man!! I'm glad you got it as soon as you did. I was just talking about getting one of those on the phone last night with Scott F. The thing is, I want a '57 reissue real bad too. Choices choices.....
