Hi guys !!
Tonight i heard some strange noises coming from my ac-30,some kinda rumbling.(when playing)
I`m not sure if it is the tubes or what....how do i know if it`s the tubes or not ?...(i know it`S kinda hard to troubleshoot on the net but, pleace give it a shot )
Is it more staticky like a bad cable, dirty connect, or like a thunder storm type sound? Maybe a sound clip? Maybe look at the tubes to see if they are glowing correctly?
It`s like a thunder sound,I tried to pull out the guitar cables(amp input) when the rumbling started and it continued for some seconds.
I think i`ll start with a tube swap and see what happens
I`ll check the reverb tank wires
I've had some rumble sounds from my Mesa F-50 (rumbling, like a motor boat chugging)... It was probably my DD-20 in the loop, so it's perhaps not very relevant here, but..
You need to give more info dude. Does it increase with volume knob being turned? or is it uniform loudness, regardless? Amp warm up and problem goes away? Both channels? Reverb full vs closed? Is it a vintage AC30 from the 60's, or a current prod CC series?
is it when you play very bassy notes, like lower on the e string? because my tryanor does the same, i think it might be the reverb tank.. kinda tics me off sometimes.
