My amp's future custom logo

CTN

The Drama Dude
spent some time this evening in Photoshop coming up with some ideas for a new logo on the front. I'm going to source out some cool expanded metal or treadplate paneling for the front, and I figured I'd do a custom logo to go with it.

Thought about the Jet City thing...planes? I almost decided to do a silhouette of a jet...then decided maybe it should be a fighter jet, something more menacing and badass. It would've looked kinda silly though, so my mind drifted onto pilots, air force and that sorta thing, military insignia, and I came up with this.

The font is as close to the Soldano font that I could find, although I know for sure that it's not exactly the same. If you actually type "soldano" with this font, it looks nearly identical:banana:

I am very interested in your project, very similar to mine. Can you tell me more about the expanded metal/treadplate paneling for the front? Where do you tink you would get it and how would you attach it? That sounds like exactly the sort of thing that I need for my amp since I don't want to re-tolex.

Cool logo, I don't think you mentioned the amp that it is going on though?

Re: My amp's future custom logo

Convoy you know there is a Jet City Amplification already. sorry

Jet City Amps/

The point is their logo sucks, so he's creating a better one.

I like the idea of using the soldano font. That's what they should have done.
Personally, I don't think it needs a picture to go with it. Jet City or Jet City Amplification in soldano's font is good by itself. Unless you're trying to cover up holes left by the old logo.

Re: My amp's future custom logo

Hello, as I'm in the middle of SLO 5W build, I did some search for soldano type font.
I've found the answer on polish forum-gitara.pl forum- try font named EurostileLTStd-Ex2.
Best regards, Czarek.

That looks pretty cool in my opinion.

Re: My amp's future custom logo

I think it looks cool. So what if it's not the logo that Jet City uses. It's not like he's going to put it on amps for sale to the public. It's a personalization for his amp. It's cool and I like it.

Re: My amp's future custom logo

Jet
City.

J/K. I'd just adjust the spacing between Jet and City if I were you.

Yeah I agree with this too.
I just posted that video up there because I like the song. I really like self-customization on things.

:BUMP:

Came up with this logo for an amp I'm in the middle of building right now. It's a 250 Watt tube-SS hybrid.

Maybe not everyone's idea of what an amp logo should look like..but I think it suits the little lunch-box type head I'm building, so that's what's going in front :D
