I originally had the 59 and JB in the Strat and the CC and A2 pro in the Carvin. Figured out that those combos didn't work and just switched them out. The A2 pro and JB combine to make sweet love like no other combo I've used.Didn't think of dusting the bastards before taking pictures?
Just messing with ya, man. Very cool guitars, congratulations. What's with having one zebra pickup in each guitar? Did you buy them as a set? Did it just work out that way or is it intentional?
LOOKS like he used diff rings, i replaced them on my CTM6 w/no problems, BTW, i have it for sale in the trading section, it is a blue quilt, i dont know how to post pics or i would. That's one of the nicest Carvins I've seen. It's always nice to see a Carvin with Duncans. How did your new pickup rings match up with the holes on the body? Did you have to redrill, or did those rings line up right?
yeah, how does the Carvin play and feel?? Ive been wanting one but am nervous cuz I normally dont like PRS'.

They don't play anything like a PRS to be honest, which is good because I hate PRS necks. It has a 12' radius fretboard which makes it great for soloing, and I got the jumbo frets for easy bends. The neck is a little thinner than a standard strat, and the finish makes it really quick and great for shredding. It was a bit too easy to play at first, so I put 12 guage strings on it and that took care of it. I like it more than any neck I've ever played, but tone isn't perfect though...it sounds a bit stale, while the strat sounds more woody.
Thank you sir. About the gold rings pickup rings. There was no need to drill any holes, I just found a direct replacement because I thought the plastic looked cheap. I've thought about putting gold covers on the humbuckers, but I'm too lazy and am worried it will look a bit too gaudy.
