My Charvel Firebird build

Posted a teaser yesterday. Here's some more pics. Assembled this from a Charvel 3A neck and a custom built (not by me!) firebird style body.







Stats are:
Charvel Model 3A maple/rosewood neck finished in black with Floyd nut and Schaller tuners
Body - custom mahogany, 1 hum, Floyd in black
Floyd Rose trem
Duncan DDJ distortion

There aren't that many Firebird or Firebird-like copies, relatively speaking. But it would be cool if one of the relatively few that are out there would use those Firebird / Banjo style tuning machines.

That is a very cool Charvel.

Thanks fellas. Yah not a big Ratt fan at all but I definitely loved the looks of those Jackson Firebirds that Robbin played. That's the direction I took when laying this one out. This was the original concept I had done on one of those guitar generators years ago at the JCF.

That's exactly where these models came from. He had Jackson make them for him.

Says he has a DD in it Ace.. First post, under the pics, he lists stats.. Good fit methinks!

Yup a old DDJ that was in mint condition when I bought it and installed. Sounds good. I've played DDJ, DD and new Distortions back to back in the same guitars and have heard zero difference. So I don't believe the "winder" hype. But I figured if you have it, you might as well use it.
