My Cry Baby's got me in tears

many of us use this fantastic tone rippin wonder
i have had a 535 BB cry baby for years now
it has gotten way too scratchy to be useable on anything other than highly dist solos.... its is so bad i have opted to pull it out of my pedal board and am using an emulation from a digitech rp80 which isnt really all that bad but its a pretty flimsy piece of plastic gear, all said...
so i have done the wd40 thing to death ...

do they sell these pots as replacements anywhere ?
are they cheap?
will that work?
also something else i never noticed before was the tone selector popped like crazy the other day too ! i can't afford another cry baby and i have always known they are not an inherintnly clean pedal but a lil wd 40 before i record always cleaned thing up, did i finally drown this thing?.... any sggestions?

WD 40 is not the way to go, Deoxit D5 or other tuner/component cleaners are ... actually with the Caig Deoxit D5 you don't need anything else.
Yeah a bunch of people sell replacements, ah ...Dunlop for one, they have a couple of hot potz (two types I think), plus look up Clyde McCoy on the web, and there are a few others as well. I think fulltone has some also.
The selector switch popping just sounds like they didn't install pull up resistors, you probably just never noticed it before (if you are referring to the voicing selector). Look up Dunlop's site and check out the replacement pots, then look for a dealer near you.

The best available pot I've used on wahs is the Fulltone and you can order it from Mike...It's $27.95.....I think www.tubesandmore.com has some really great prices on wah parts also...Contact me if you need further...I'm currently modding and replacing the pot in Bludave's old Crybaby pedal and his will have the Fulltone pot...

The best sounding wah being made today in my opinion is the Teese Picture Wah...It sounds alot better than the Fulltone and nothing new today can touch it...My next wah would be Teese's wah for sure...Teese doesn't sell wah parts,so I'm forced to buy Mike Fuller's(Fulltone) parts...

If you want vintage Vox Italy wah wah tones to die for,buy the picture wah...Listen to the tone and the range this wah has on these sound samples..
