Re: My entire lineup

Beautiful new designs that no doubt play as good as they look!

Re: My entire lineup

Cool, tell me more about the white axe in the top right. It looks interesting.

Re: My entire lineup

Hey guys,

For starters, they're all my brand. These are all the shapes I offer for 2018. I will be launching the final 3, maybe 4, for 2019 around the time of Musik Messe. No I won't attend, it's just to give you an eta. I'll be showing some of my best, most epic pieces later, spring 2019. I'm moving away from my initial ideas, which included offering great sounding and playing guitars at an affordable price point, albeit with not-too exciting woods. 5, 9 or 17 piece necks, flamed ebony fretboards, premium tops, flamed ash backs, etc. That's what people apparently want me to make...

As far as name giving goes, I haven't found suitable names yet.

Let's give it a go.

Lower side, left to right

ToneChaser
No name
No name
MiracleMachine
ToneMachine

Upper, left to right

No name
No name
ToneBich

I try to either incorporate the name 'tone' or "machine" in the name. It just grew that way. ToneMachine is a play on Blackmachine and it just took off from there.

These are the model names. I have several tiers, given individual names too. The lowest (cheapest) is called the Special. Then Classic and deluxe. These are just slab bodies (carving depends on model) with a singlepiece neck. Then the Standard, custom, soloist and finally the Artiste. They all have a laminate top, the last two have a laminate back as well (soloist is flat back, Artiste carved back, without back plates). Chambering and F-holes are optional on all of these.

Just to give you an idea of my lineup cause darned name-giving is difficult!

Maybe I misunderstood but did I read that people want you to make good playing/sounding guitars at good prices but you’ve opted to NOT do that?

If so, why would you shoot yourself in the foot like that?

Please tell me that you’re not trying to be another high end boutique maker that the average joe can’t touch....God knows the market is already flooded with that.

Re: My entire lineup

Well... I have been a luthier for the better part of a decade now.

I started out to make guitars that are affordable. But folks just don't want that. So now I am moving towards more exclusive.

However...

I still will offer reasonably priced instruments with premium materials and hardware. No, a carved top Lp with an exotic neck, ebony fretboard handmade in Europe, for less than 1500 is a utopia. But I do aim to be competitive with the big boys.

Re: My entire lineup

Oh p.s. I don't work for sales or to be as big as possibly. This is labor of love. My day job, at Aristides, is where I really work for work. With love, but... It's work nonetheless

Re: My entire lineup

They are Silverbirds, right? I remember you writing a thread about that guitar.

Re: My entire lineup

You're from Belgium right? Whereabouts?

I'm looking for a luthier who can setup my 3 electrics, maybe switch out some parts (pots, nuts, ...) And if possibly do it with me together so I can learn from a skilled person how to setup my guitars myself in the future :)

It's a epiphone les Paul custom inspired by 1955, a fender strat plus or ultra, not sure and a g&l away special tribute.

hey man, no, I'm from the Netherlands ;) (take a look at my post, to the left, it says 'location: The Hague, Netherland' :D ). I can surely do that, no problem. However, if you don't wanna go the distance, I'd recommend you take a look at Hilko Guitars. Hilko Nackaerts is a great guy who is an absolute master with guitars. However, I'm not sure if he is willing to do setup work cause he's insanely busy.

Closer to Belgium is Wel Guitars, in Goes, Zeeland. he's a buddy of mine and a great guy who delivers great work.

You're always welcome to drop by, of course :)

Re: My entire lineup

Sorry don't see the location on Tapatalk, but I thought I recognized the name from a dutch forum :)

I prefer something closer to home so I'll keep looking, thanks anyway!

Dude, bravo! You have really came a long way! That's a sweet bullpen of style right there. Classic, familiar, yet unique. I'd EVEN venture to say you have a sort of signature style.

Thanks man :) I absolutely attempted to give off my own 'vibe' to these models. It's very hard to make something people will recognize but not make it generic or too much 'out there'.
