my first duncan clip, good luck guessing which one.

Re: my first duncan clip, good luck guessing which one.

I'm guessing a '59 in the neck in the bridge position.

The clips great, tone is good man, great playing as well!

Keep it up, I really liked that, especially that harmonized riff! \m/ The solos good too, could boostit a little in the mix though, almost sounds a bit stratty at the start!

Once again great clip, keep it up!

Great tone and clip Bro!

Like the JB and it's grindy nasal thing, 59s has that twang that can be annoying at times, but in a recording/band mix, a 59 (and the JB) always sounds really good.

Great tone. Almost MKIII mesa, but a little crunchy like a Marshall as well. seeing your gear list after I listened, I can now tell why :laugh2:

Kinda reminds me of RTL-era Metallica, or Metal Church (Badlands)

yeah, I guess you got it.

'59 N in the bridge on the iceman.

that stratty solo sound is actually a dimarzio H4 in the neck of an Ibanez rg550DY.

thanks for the compliments guys.

What's a young guy like yerself playing this style o' music for? It's 2006! But at least you got chops... counts for something I guess.

Tone aside, that was an awesome riff. It kinda reminded me of soldiers under command by Stryper. I wish I could write these kinds of riffs, keep up the good work.

thanks. I only write riffs if they have diatonic fifths that aren't exactly 7 frets away.

I'm really proud of this This is my first seymour pickup. Ibanez iceman ic500 btw,
mesa triaxis marshall 9100 boss se 50 vht 4x12 shure beta 57 sennheiser e906

Nice sound, gotta admit. A tad muddy bass on the recording, but it's all good, could be the neck pickup. Were you playing through both pickups or just neck? Sounds like just neck to me.

But I like the riff, and it could use a nice, dynamic singer to compliment it up top, like the current singer for Velvet Revolver, or Foreigner's singer (RIP) would've sounded great. Maybe Steve Perry would sound good with it too, but the solo on the bridge would be great with a RR-style solo.

But anyways, good work! Where'd you get the drumming btw? Computer generated?

Re: my first duncan clip, good luck guessing which one.

I dont know about you but it sounded like Tears in a Vial by Megadeth...

Its still darn cool if you wrote it though!

the bass guitar is probably the mudiness you're hearing. I only used the neck pickup on the solo. THe rhythm sound is a '59 neck model in the bridge.

those drums are pure casio keyboard, $75 @ walmart. I Eq'ed the hell out of them. I tried as hard as I could.

I'm not familiar with that megadeth song. but, hell yeah I wrote this. It's very youthanasia-era inspired of course ;)

:bigthumb: Nice work, bro. I LOVE the tone. The 59n sounds great in the bridge of that axe. Your preamp is helping some there too but wow, the '59 sure is helping shape that up a lot, as any pickup would do.

That riff rocks. I love it. I might just have to save this one for playing over. It's that cool.

Re: my first duncan clip, good luck guessing which one.

I like it... it has an early Metallica groove to it with a MegaDave style harmony thrown in. Cool stuff.

It's all I've been listening to for like 3 days.
