well, my first one here anyway.
bet y'all thought i was just pulling your leg in my first post.
this is how she started out when all her parts arrived on thursday. MIJ body, MIM '50s reissue neck, black pearloid pickguard, red/silver/blue lace sensors.
today while my kid was napping i had the pleasure of watching as my dude soldered a few wires, and then i took a screwdriver to her and assembled her. a set of strings later and she's ready for play. truss rod might need tightening but i'm going to play her as-is for now and see how it goes. my dude tells me you call these "parts-casters". i call her mitzie.
(yeah, i named her.)
she's so purty. a little beat up, if you look up close, but that's fine by me. i won't feel so bad about beating on her a bit myself, and planning a bit of a custom paint job to add some extra detail to the body. she's sounds and plays great as far as i'm concerned, but my experience is...uh...shall we say, "limited"? lol. whatev. i think she's awesome and that's what counts, because it'll keep me playing.
