My LP's Custom needs a partner

I just got a LP Studio as my backup guitar and I need it to sound similiar to my LP Custom which is loaded with a Seymour Duncan Custom in the bridge and a JB in the neck. I put the JB in the neck just for grins because I didn't have anything else that had enough output to keep up with the Custom and I love the combo. I will definitely go with a Custom in my new LP but I am considering trying something different in the neck. The JB is great, but I did have to lower it a bit to keep it from getting muddy. I need something that will keep up output-wise with the Custom but that I can get a chimey, clean sound out of as well. I solo A LOT with my neck PU so I need something smooth. I'm considering a Jazz or a Pearly Gates but I need some other ideas and opinions.

Thanks.

You might even try a Jazz bridge. I have the aph-1 \/\/ and it sounds fine. No law against using the bridge version of a PAF pup, people seem to have success with the PGB, APH-1B and 59B. Or the Demon.

alnico II pro is smoother than silk in the neck.
